Although I have never met the talented designer and photographer of this adorable nursery I feel like we are friends! While Jennifer was pregnant I was constantly stalking her instagram for all the wonderful things she was creating for her daughters room! Please check out all her fabulous crafts and affordable decor in her daughters chic pink and grey nursery!!!
J- I found
the ladders at a local antique / world market shop called, ‘The Nest’ in Oaks,
PA. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with them, but I knew that I just had to
have them!! The two large ladders with ‘LOVE’ in them were $12 each. The
smaller ladder with ‘DREAM BIG’ in it was $10. One day as I was walking around
Michael’s, I spotted the letters and thought it would look so cute to put them
in the squares of the ladders! I got the large letters on sale at Michael’s
Craft Store for $1.50 each and I got the small letters on sale for .99 each! I
painted them all myself with acrylic paint.
J- The gray felt elephants are from Pottery Barn Kids. I am
OBSESED with them! The large one holds diapers and the small one I am using for
the diaper changing products; lotion, hand sanitizer, and all the other lovely
little baby products that are needed when changing a diaper. J They are $29.99 for the pair.
J- The bookends were a
gift from a family friend at our shower. I believe she got them at Home Goods
for under $7.99. (I only know that because I have seen similar ones there for
that price) pink pot was from IKEA and it cost $1.99!
J- I purchased the blank
canvases from Michael’s craft store. The prices ranged from $3-$5 on sale
depending on the size. I painted them myself with acrylic paint. I was so much
fun to have these little projects for myself because it was a LONG winter in
the Northeast! I really enjoyed painting these to keep my mind busy!
Q's for this lovely new mama
“Have you always had a love for elephants?”
J- I have always been a HUGE animal lover! One of my best girlfriends is obsessed with elephants and gave me a new appreciation for how majestic and beautiful they are. I love the way elephants interact and express themselves. I was surprised at how many ‘elephant’ nursery things there are when I was on Pintrest to get inspiration for the nursery! There are so many elephant baby products out there and I just seemed to have a connection with it. I quickly fell in love with the idea of making it the theme of the nursery!
“Favorite element in the room”?
J- There are so many items in the room that I LOVE so much! Many of the items were gifts from friends and family and I just love them! I would say one of my favorite items in the nursery is the black and white print of a family of elephants. I got it on clearance at home goods for only $35! But for whatever reason it spoke to me and I felt an immediate connection to this beautiful photo of these magical elephants. I knew it had to be a part of my little girl’s room. J
The adorable lady who calls this
