Styleunder40 Holiday style for less series: OLD NAVY

Welcome to Style under 40's first post on getting some
serious style for less this holiday season!

Here is a look I put together that would be great for shopping for Holiday gifts or taking a coffee break at my favorite spot Land of a thousand Hills coffee house in Roswell.

Pixie Pants: Loved the fun print and bright colors on these great fitting pixie pants
Emerald green honeycomb woven sweater: Great detail on this sweater and an ever greater price tag!
Hooded navy toggle jacket! Scored this outerwear for 50% off
Navy felt smoking flat: Super comfortable and stylish
Green bucket bag: a perfect bag for any girl on the go!

Special Thanks to my model Teigan my life size barbie
who always lets me style her ;)

Lots and lots and lots of Layers!!!

Layers are no joke here in Colorado...yeah its cold!! My sister and I braved the chill and spent a wonderful morning exploring Denver's Union station. I love the contemporary design on the new light rail station downtown and we had a fun time exploring and taking some photos along the way! I stayed toasty warm and stylish by wearing lots of layers and kept it interesting by mixing textures!
As always all items under $40!!!

Starting from my base layer:

Burgundy short sleeve shift dress with sheer fabric on shoulder and exposed zipper!

Cream 3/4 quarter length sweater from H&M

Puffer Old Navy navy vest

Colorful Forever 21 scarf (stolen from my sister's closet) ;) shh don't tell

Gap knit hat with faux fur bomble

Target Mittens

Tights Forever 21

Mixing Forever21 Aztec prints under $40

Mixing Tribal-Inspired Prints

A few simple tips for mixing tribal inspired print
1. Add texture. Tribal prints look amazing with some faux fur
2. Wear them with boots to add to the rustic vibe of these prints.
3. Keep your colors simple. I choose a black and white motif.
4. Accessorize. As with any other trend start small with a scarf, hat or bag!

Black leather? nah Black pleather

I really needed an everyday look upgrade this fall, something EASY and comfortable. So I traded in my running hat and yoga pants for this chic black look. This felt and leather David & Young cap from DSW $16.95 was a great deal and also a whole lot cooler then my brooks running hat. I love the simplicity of a monochromatic look but also like some texture and pattern in every outfit. Snagged these patterned tights from Jessica Simpson DSW for  $19.95. A long simple black blouse and tassel Nine West flats and tassel necklace complete the look!
